About the Institutes

The Amalgamated Institutes are a federation of specialist bodies united by a simple proposition: that the value of advice is not measured by its length. Each Institute reviews the literature of its field in its entirety, retains what survives scrutiny, and publishes the remainder — however brief the remainder proves to be.

The Institutes maintain no offices, accept no funding from industry, and publish their findings only when they are complete.

The Member Institutes

The Institute for Advanced Dietary Studies — publisher of Volume I of the Library, The Principles of Weight Loss: Complete and Unabridged, with Full Scientific References. The forty-two references supporting the finding are catalogued on the Research page for public inspection.

The Institute for Advanced Somnological Studies — publisher of Volume II, The Elements of Sound Sleep.

The Institute for Advanced Concentration Studies — publisher of Volume III, The Cultivation of Undivided Attention.

The Institute for Advanced Temperance Studies — publisher of Volume IV, The Moderation of Strong Drink.

Nothing published by the Institutes constitutes medical advice. Readers with medical conditions are directed, sincerely, to their physicians.
